Introduction

The theme of PUFF is the feeling of companionship. Through the interactive presentation of objects, it forms a sensory experience that breaks the loneliness of daily actions. It uses the response mode of the "breathing light" to relieve the mood and provide a sense of companionship by guiding the user to adjust the breathing rhythm.

Under the criticism of globalization, migration, urbanization, changes in family structure, economic inequality, breakdown of traditional social institutions, and other issues, the lonely contemporary people have their burdens: being the tiny particle in the atomized society, while taking a glimpse of eternity beyond life, and walking with oneself alone.

Inspired by the poem of William Wordsworth, the English Romantic poet, "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud", the project uses the tissue box, which is a daily behavior object with the coexistence of privacy and functionality, to make use of the decisive characteristics of the feeling of companionship with attention as the core, as well as the elements including anthropomorphism, emotional attachment, responsiveness, consistency, and aesthetics, so that human beings can listen to strange echoes from their imagination.

PUFF 这个项目以陪伴的感觉为主题，通过物品参与的交互式呈现，形成了打破日常动作单一性的感官体验，使用“呼吸灯”的响应方式，通过引导使用者调整呼吸节奏来舒缓心情并提供陪伴感。

在如今的全球化、移民、城市化、家庭结构变革、经济不平等、传统社会制度崩塌等种种问题的非难下，孤独的当代人有自己的担荷：一边挑起原子化社会中的一粒渺小，一边挑起数载人生外的一瞥永恒，在独行的路上与自我同行。

项目以英国浪漫主义诗人威廉·华兹华斯的诗，《我像一朵云，孤独地飘荡》为灵感，通过纸巾盒，这种私密性与功能性共存的日常行为对象，利用陪伴感以注意力为核心的决定性特征，以及拟人化、情感依恋、响应性、一致性和审美性的要素，让人类倾听来源于自身想象力的陌生回响。
