Design-driven Innovation
I have innovated the inner meaning of this lamp. Its shape is a metaphor for the contradictions in the development of human society.

 

Product Meaning
The history of Lenghu reveals the relationship between ecological environment and the industrial civilization in development of a city - they are connected and integrated, which is similar to the two sides of the Klein bottle. The lamp adopts the shape of the Klein bottle, expressing the thinking of the situation of human being in ecological civilization and industrial civilization.

 

Project Introduction
My experience in Lenghu Petroleum Base in northwestern China in 2019 and its history made me think about some of the problems in city development today. In my research on industrial cities, I extracted the design concept - the relationship between ecological civilization and industrial civilization, and transformed it into visual language through product.
